Through the work of Max Planck, Albert Einstein, Louis de Broglie, Arthur Compton and many others, there is evidence of the particle-wave duality in the behaviour of both electrons and light. Experimental evidence indicates how they are like instead of what they exactly are.
The painting portrays the rays of the sun. To show that that light could behave, either, as particles or as waves, I decided to paint waives and dots to represent the waves and the particles. We will never know which one is actually behaving unless we observe it closely.
